Sign One Hundred Million United States Dollars ($100 Million) MOU for Key Infrastructure Projects in Liberia
Monrovia, Liberia – [September 10, 2024] – The National Investment Commission (NIC) of Liberia and China National Complete Engineering Corporation (CCEC) have signed a $100 million Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) focused on executing critical infrastructure projects in Liberia. This agreement, signed on September 6, 2024, in Beijing under the patronage of His Excellency Joseph Boakai Sr., President of Liberia, marks a step towards enhancing Liberia's infrastructure.
The MOU outlines a plan for CCEC to undertake major infrastructure projects, including improvements to energy, transportation, and urban development sectors. The collaboration aims to boost Liberia's economic growth and development by addressing key infrastructure needs.
As part of the MOU’s execution, a delegation from CCEC will be visiting Liberia soon to hold discussions with relevant stakeholders on the specifics of these projects. During their visit, CCEC will engage with government agencies and project employers to align requirements and technical details for successfully implementing the planned infrastructure initiatives.
